#America bankrupt of “political morality” in #elections2016

You’d think the nation that supposedly leads the free world would be more sensible about picking who leads their nation. But surprisingly & shockingly both the “political junta” & the general public behave like there are only two options.

The situation shouldn’t have come to this in the first place. The Republican candidate is a racist, bigot, reckless, wuss among an endless list of disqualifying traits. The Democratic candidate is not much better for the country with a history of abusing power and reportedly even the personnel attending to her in whichever position she was.

Both have a history of flip flopping on many issues and everyone knows it — Hillary Trump. Yet Democrats have no problem supporting her and Republicans have no qualms supporting him. They lie without hesitation and yet they are “the candidate” of each party.

It is not like there are no other options. Why is everyone so fixated on thinking it is their responsibility to get the “other” candidate to lose? How about thinking “Is the person I am voting for good for the country?”, “Am I doing the right thing?” or other such questions that would lead to some sane thinking. There are other options out there and of among them there is at least Gary Johnson/Bill Weld. Now he is not the ideal President America needs or wants but at least he is not gloriously flawed like the other two. He may be quirky but at least he is honest. That in itself is much more than what the other two leading candidates offer.

Voting for third party candidates is not the same as a vote for Trump (in Democrats’ view) or for Hillary (in Republicans’ view). There are many articles why if you make time to look for that information — Article 1, Article 2. What will your vote do for him, the Libertarian Party and American public? This.

Democrats had a good option in Bernie but they blew that chance. Republicans had 16 to choose from and they zeroed in on the one person they should not have ended up with.

Now it may very well be too late to do any course correction. America is doomed to 4 years of bad governance.

I hope those who still haven’t pulled the trigger use some common sense and do the right thing with their #vote.
